About the event

If you want the Forest School experience for your child, but aren't ready for a drop-off program, then Family Forest School is for you! Gather with like-minded families for a morning in the woods of Bluestone Village. Family Forest School follows a similar rhythm to our Nature Playschool with activities and experiences to engage your young learner in nature play and exploration. Caregivers attending with their little one will help with the flow of the class while learning how to support their child's nature play.

If you are brand new to Bluestone programs, you can read more about our philosophy here. The class focuses on social-emotional development, nature connection, and community building. We use the natural environment as a teacher and provide children with the space and time to explore, learn, and discover.

Registration is by the semester and the first month's fees are due upon registration (*please note that…

Bluestone Village

Highland Lake, NY

Bluestone Village plays and learns on the unceded land of our Host Nation peoples, the Munsee Lenape and Mohican. We offer deep condolences to the past, present, and future Indigenous peoples who experienced harm at the hands of colonizers and for the systemic racism they still experience today. We promise to do our best as allies and support our Host Nation and all Indigenous peoples with our actions. We recognize this statement is just the first step and commit ourselves to continue to grow and work towards reparations and healing.
