What is Bluestone Blossoms?

Bluestone Blossoms helps young families get outside in a gentle way. With a focus on play and exploration in nature, we savor the wonder that unfolds in every season. Bluestone's expert naturalists offer space for nature play, time to socialize, and explore together. Hands-on learning and supported risk-taking is encouraged!

Bluestone is an inclusive and safe space for families. Families of any make-up are welcome. Nursing and tending to the needs of children is welcome. Come as you are, connect, and enjoy time outside as a family!

How can I prepare for class?

Please dress for the weather and note that all programs at Bluestone are immersed in nature. 100% of our class time takes place outdoors, rain or shine*. Let's stay present for our little ones - please, no cell phones except to take photos or use in case of emergency.

*We have a space to escape extreme cold and for diaper changes or nursing cover.

What are my options?

Cost & Registration

Our 2025 rates for sessions are $15 for caregiver + child, or $18 for caregiver + child with siblings.

Families must register in advance, and we require a minimum of 5 families to hold a session or class. All sales are final.

Enrollment Information
This class is designed for infants and toddlers from birth-3 years old to attend with a caregiver.  We know that sometimes another sibling must attend - we love children, so that's no problem! Please register with the "caregiver with siblings" option.

As with all of Bluestone's programs, we never want nature to be cost prohibitive. If you are experiencing a financial hardship and would like to attend, please reach out to Emily Woodmansee.

Bluestone Village

Highland Lake, NY

Bluestone Village plays and learns on the unceded land of our Host Nation peoples, the Munsee Lenape and Mohican. We offer deep condolences to the past, present, and future Indigenous peoples who experienced harm at the hands of colonizers and for the systemic racism they still experience today. We promise to do our best as allies and support our Host Nation and all Indigenous peoples with our actions. We recognize this statement is just the first step and commit ourselves to continue to grow and work towards reparations and healing.
